New Zealand indie pop singer Lorde has had one of the biggest opportunities in her career thus far: fronting Nirvana for a live performance as they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

See a performance of the band playing All Apologies with Lorde on vocals and Joan Jett playing guitar. The band used a total of 4 women vocalists to replace Kurt during their performances; Joan Jett was chosen to sing Smells Like Teen Spirit. Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, St. Vincent and Lorde each took turns at the microphone, with Lorde’s version of All Apologies ending the night.
